Role: SOC 2 (Service Organization Controls) Readiness Assessment Specialist
Duration: Long Term Contract
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid Onsite 3 Days a Week)
What You ll Get To Do:

1. Conduct pre-audit assessments to evaluate the organization s readiness for SOC2 compliance in accordance with AICPA standards and guidelines.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather documentation and evidence of controls.
3. Analyse existing processes, policies, and systems to identify gaps against SOC2 requirements.
4. Develop and implement remediation plans to address identified deficiencies.
5. Provide guidance and recommendations for improving security posture and compliance readiness.
6. Evaluate and assess the design and effectiveness of controls related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
7. Communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders and management.
8. Stay updated on SOC2 standards and best practices to ensure compliance efforts are current and effective.

What You ll Bring With You:

• Previous experience with SOC2 compliance, preferably in conducting readiness assessments
• Strong knowledge of SOC2 standards, AICPA Trust Services Criteria, and relevant regulatory requirements
• Previous experience in performing control mapping and gap analysis
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines effectively
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM are a plus
