Your Opportunity

You will provide leadership and managerial support, along with technical assistance to the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). You will lead a technical support team of subject matter experts to conduct experiments for technical areas involved in the gathering of materials and nuclear data crucial for validating and understanding nuclear weapons performance physics. This a full-time opportunity with teleworking options available.

What You Will Do

With your background in NNSA and/or nuclear weapons, your responsibilities may include:

• Leading a technical team of experts in support of an NNSA nuclear experiments program.
• Acting as liaison between the contractor support team and the government management team performing all services covered under the contract.
• Developing and maintaining business management policies and procedures for all task areas.
• Assisting in managing a subcritical experiments portfolio, overseeing enterprise level budget and program management system information, and drafting annual letters to the Department of State required by treaties.
• Offering advice on amending the 1958 U.S./UK Mutual Defense Agreement.
• Advising on the coordination of program budgets and contributing to an approach to involve the UK in planning.
• Interacting continually with the client to ensure expectations are met, presenting interim results, discussing concerns, and ensuing total product/service satisfaction.
• Making recommendations to the client regarding future direction for the program.
• Fulfilling any other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need

• A master's degree in engineering, science, management, or related field.
• 16 years of relevant experience supporting federal nuclear programs.
• An active DOE Q or DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Strong managerial, organizational, writing, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• 20 years' experience supporting federal nuclear programs.
• Experience supporting academic programs.
• Knowledge of NNSA organization and programs.
• Familiarity with DOE/NNSA national laboratory programs.
