Job Purpose
This a lead position in the NAM Subsea Projects Quality organization. The Project Quality Lead is responsible for the Quality deliverables on a Subsea project based on the customer contract and internal best practices. This includes defining and maintaining project quality documentation, leading Client Quality meetings, and leading improvement projects.
Job Description
  • Leads, develops, and implements strategic project-wide system audits and quality plans, as required by the client contract.
  • Maintains strong relationships with client quality representatives to report progress and handle inquiries and issues.
  • Promotes a Quality culture on the project, ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous improvement of quality standards and systems.
  • Participates actively in the risk assessment workshops on the project.
  • Implements an effective corrective and preventive action system and tracks closure of NCRs and waiver requests.
  • Assists in the definition of project objectives and metrics (KPI), analyzes performance, proposes corrective actions.
  • Collaborates with Suppliers and Supplier Quality to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Leads and facilitates RCA/CARs to ensure completeness and adequacy of controls.
  • May facilitate the feedback process throughout the construction phase and may assist in the development and approval of site procedures, QCP’s and ITP’s.
  • Compiles and analyzes complex quality data, identifies trends / causes and proposes corrective actions.
  • Resolves operational issues related to customer third party representatives.
  • Configures and updates the QMS (Quality Management System) and contributes to its continuous improvement.
  • Validates scope and resources during the definition of the quality requirements on projects.
  • Provides guidance and motivation to team members.
  • Builds effective relationships with peers, co-workers, customers, and industry representatives.
  • Assists with interviews and recruiting for entry level and experienced positions for the department.
  • Participates in cross functional quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provides technical and commercial support for TechnipFMC bid packages.
You are meant for this job if:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably with a specialization in Quality)
  • 5 years of experience in Quality or equivalent function; Subsea background strongly preferred
  • Industry knowledge is required. Knowledge and experience with TechnipFMC subsea products and operations is preferred
  • Experience implementing and administering company policies and procedures in order to successfully achieve business objectives
  • Ability to develop, improve and implement processes, policies and procedures that impact direct function
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and coaching, and respond appropriately
  • High standard for documenting and following critical business processes
  • Advanced leadership traits around communication, establishing requirements, addressing areas for improvement
    WORK ENVIRONMENT: 80-90% time in an office environment and 10-20% in a workshop environment. Some exposure to shop hazards, including high noise, heavy machinery, and shop traffic. Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change. International travel may be required for project audits and internal collaboration.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent sitting and operating a computer. Standing for periods of time while observing workshop activities, working on/around equipment in the workshop.
