TMB, Inc has an exciting opportunity for a Shipboard Maintenance Expert to support Team Ships Front Office (TSFO).

Responsibilities

  • The contractor shall provide on-demand timely professional support services to the Flag Officer, Executive Director and Chief of Staff for the DIRECTOR, SURFACE SHIP MAINTENANCE, MODERNIZATION & SUSTAINMENT (SEA 21). The requirement is for a proven Shipboard maintenance expert who possess strong analytics, and strategic thinking.
  • An action officer, capable to provide SEA 21 Leadership with knowledge management, strategic planning, brief development, action tracking, and communication support to include messaging, configuration control, database management, and proactive thinking.
  • The contractor will proactively and re-actively respond short and long-term tasking from SEA 21 Leadership, coordinating as necessary with stakeholders, to provide quality on time products to include communication strategies, briefs, point papers, and analysis.
  • This individual shall possess strong analytic and strategic thinking skills as a basis for strategic planning and knowledge management.
  • Also, will work strategic initiatives to assess SEA 21 data and metrics to make recommendations on gathering, filing, controlling, and maintaining data for rapid use.
  • The scope includes developing strategic initiatives that focus on improved business practices as well as improved data utilization, messaging and tasker responses, and technical/program execution processes.
  • The contractor will proactively and re-actively respond short and long-term tasking from SEA 21 Leadership, coordinating as necessary with stakeholders, to provide quality, on-time products to include communication strategies, briefs, point papers, and analysis.
  • The contractor will work strategic initiatives to assess SEA 21 data and metrics to make recommendations on gathering, filing, controlling, and maintaining data for rapid use.
  • The contractor will help develop strategic initiatives that focus on improved business practices as well as improved data utilization, messaging and tasker responses, and technical/program execution processes.
  • The contractor will develop and deliver flag-level briefings and analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent U.S. military service experience.
  • 10-20 years of Experience in DOD Analyst Support to include Flag Level Strategy Planning, Communication Approaches, Brief Development, Knowledge Management, and Process Improvement.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively with senior military and civilian leadership (i.e.: Flag level and SES Level).
  • SharePoint Knowledge Management Experience a plus.
  • Proactive and excellent customer service with management experience.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must possess an active DOD Secret security clearance.
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
  • Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions
