Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Purpose: Responsible for achieving sales revenue and margin objectives.

Sells, and assists as liaison to support customer, plant and Sales Department.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
  • Takes direction from the Sales Director and Plant Manager in order to accomplish assigned tasks with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Must have the ability to work autonomously without daily oversight.
  • Primary responsibility is to manage existing accounts, preserve current business, secure new business and maintain adequate margins.
  • Calls on management representatives such as purchasing, engineering, quality and other technical and professional personnel at customer and prospective customer facilities to promote TEAM capabilities and products and establish a business relationship resulting in profitable sales of TEAM Engineered Products and manufactured components.
  • Reviews drawings, specifications, business agreements and other customer or plant documents to assist in the development of cost estimates and quotations. Determines and communicates requirements and details associated with current and potential projects as related to pricing, delivery, and quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Provides technical services to clients, plant personnel, or suppliers relating to use, operation, and maintenance of parts, assemblies or equipment.
  • Works with customer and company personnel to promote continuous improvement related to performance in meeting customer quality, delivery and cost management requirements.
  • Develops Sales and Service contracts for products or services as appropriate.
  • Responsible for continued growth of company revenue and profit.
  • Primary liaison in support of customer service.
  • Primary tactical contact with customer personnel.
  • Travels as necessary to support Sales department objectives.
  • Researches appropriate account and market information to support the strategic development of customers and products.
  • Acts to foster professional and courteous representation of TEAM values, goals and objectives.
  • Maintains ethical and responsive relationship with internal and external customers. Conforms to company policies.
  • Responsible for professional, timely, and technically accurate information between the customer and the company.

  • Avoidance of exchange of information conveyed or relayed in any form outside the company that may be considered detrimental to the company
  • Observe professional courtesy, respect, and communications that reflect a positive attitude and foster to maintain a harmonious work environment
  • Maintain personal hygiene, observe non-offensive professional business courtesy in all settings, and strive to maintain the highest of professional standards
  • Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university, technical and/or business degree preferred
  • Two years experience working in an Industrial manufacturing or engineering environment preferred
  • Two years experience in an Industrial Sales role dealing with large OEM customers preferred

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to operate a computer and other TEAM electronic business tools to perform efficiently
  • Able to drive a motor vehicle and maintain a clean driving record as per company policy
  • Proficient in data entry and the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Uses interpersonal and phone skills to be highly proficient in the expansion of current and prospective business partners.
