Since 1998, CK Manufacturing has served dairy farmers by manufacturing and installing cattle control equipment. In addition, we build truck bodies and recently started a new division of our company, manufacturing and selling trailers for Tiny Homes. CK Manufacturing is looking for a Purchaser responsible for purchasing items needed for assembly & manufacturing in the agricultural industry, truck bodies, and trailers for Tiny Homes. Our ideal candidate is someone who can build relationships with our long-standing suppliers & vendors while working competitively to get the best price on the items we need. If you have a background in construction or manufacturing, are diplomatic, persuasive, and enjoy research, consider joining our team.

Our Ideal Purchaser:

• Experience: Purchasing experience is preferred but not required. Willing to train the right person. A background in construction, manufacturing, or building supply is preferred.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge & ability to learn programs like Excel.
• Strong Communicator: Effectively communicates on the phone and through email, building rapport with our vendors and promoting a positive working relationship with the managers in our company.
• Persuasive: Able to negotiate pricing, delivery dates, and billing terms. Comfortable networking and exploring options.
• Diplomatic: Remains calm and professional in a challenging supply chain environment.
• Organized: Sees the big picture and plans the work to handle the details. Able to juggle multiple jobs/responsibilities.
• Team Player: Enjoys working with a team to achieve goals.
• Professional: Maintains a neat, orderly appearance; treats everyone respectfully.
