Job Summary
The Building Tech III - HVAC Tech is responsible for maintenance and repair of electronic components and equipment and ensure equipment is running correctly.
Refers to schematics and performs visual inspections for basic problems. Uses diagnostic equipment to pinpoint malfunctions.
Once identified, defective components are repaired or replaced.
Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve facilities processes.

Essential Duties
Diagnoses electrical system performance through observation, testing and setup as required by trade / position. Performs aerial, electrical and lighting installations to include energized electrical work.
Performs planned maintenance and inspections as indicated in the service agreement. Proficiently operates hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment, testing and metering devices.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
Two-year technical degree in related field is preferred.
