JOB DESCRIPTION | PAINTER / DRYWALL FINISHER

Title: Painter / Drywall Finisher 

Reports to: Maintenance Coordinator and/or Project Managers 

Position Purpose:

Philadelphia area based property management company is in need of a full-time Painter / Drywaller to join our staff. You will primarily be responsible for painting single and multi-family dwellings but will be required to perform some minor maintenance as it pertains to drywall/ interior wall repair and maintenance. We're looking for an experienced Painter/Drywaller who understands the industry best practices and will apply them to every aspect of their work. 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Repair drywall and paint the interiors of apartments, condos, townhomes and other multi-family dwellings as required
• Work with other construction professionals, such as carpenters, electricians and plumbers, to prepare units for lease
• Protect all nearby furnishings and building materials before and during every painting job, including carpets, flooring, cabinetry, outlet covers, lighting fixtures and landscaping
• Collaborate with other professional painters on larger jobs
• Practice self-supervision on small jobs and ensure you complete each project in an efficient, timely manner
• Match paint samples for touch-ups and other small projects
• Meet with property managers to discuss color and finish options as well as other design details for leasing spaces

Requirements

 Physical Demands:

• Sitting and or standing for extended periods of time
• Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping and crawling
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to climb a ladder and scaffolding

Position Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Minimum of two years professional painting experience, preferably in residential property management or combination of education and experience.
• Physical: Ability to lift, push and pull and carry up to 50 pounds. Physical elements of the job may require frequent standing and walking, squatting ,reaching, stooping, climbing stairs/ladders, balancing and carrying.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable personal automobile for local, job-related travel.
• Possession of tools needed to perform routine maintenance tasks, a plus.
