TCLAD INC is Hiring a Human Resource Business Partner Near Prescott, WI

Job Summary: Work within the HR Team by performing a wide variety of projects and administrative duties requiring initiative and independent judgment including compiling and maintaining personnel records/matters by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Employee Record Maintenance
  • Record employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefit, tax data, attendance, performance review or evaluation, and termination date and reason into database.
  • Compute wages and records data for use in payroll processing.
  • Assist the SHE Manager with recording safety shoes, glasses, respirator physicals etc.
  • Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.
  • Initiate paperwork for employee reviews, as well as past due reviews.
Staffing
  • Process employment offers and assists in other employment activities.
  • Assist with the schedule and coordinate pre-employment work characteristics and testing.
  • Assist with orientation for all new employees in the system.
  • Assist with setting up temporary employees and reporting their hours to the agencies.
Benefits
  • Assist with benefit questions pertaining to medical, dental, life, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, and 401(k).
  • Assist with Coordination and process open enrollment paperwork.
  • Assist with processing COBRA paperwork when an employee terminates.
  • Assist with FMLA paperwork to employees that qualify under the act.
Recruitment
  • Assist with recruitment.
  • Assist with job postings internally and externally.
  • Assist with screening and scheduling interviews.
  • Assist with employment offer preparation and presentation.
Training
  • Maintain files and enter in training.
  • Track Phase I, II, and III orientation documents.
Administrative Support
  • Work with the Human Resources Manager on special projects.
  • Work with the Human Resources Manager on company (social) functions.
  • Escalates employee relation issues to the Human Resources Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of employment law, Workers’ Compensation, benefit coordination, HRIS systems, OSHA/Safety guidelines and staffing.
  • Knowledge of HRIS/Payroll systems; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Knowledge of mathematical calculations.
  • Good problem solving and technical skills.
  • Technical skill - pursues training and development opportunities.
  • Able to work independently as well as a team member.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work as a team as well as independently.
  • Change management - communicates changes effectively and supports company culture in a positive way.
  • Quality management - demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Complete administrative tasks correctly and on time.
  • Reliable and Dependable
Education and/or Experience: Prefer bachelor’s degree in business or related field; three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. HR Certifications Helpful.
