Planet Technology has partnered with a Cincinnati based company to locate an junior level audio visual (AV)/IT technician for a contract-to-hire position.

No 3P's or sponsorship permitted. Candidates should be legal to work in the US and not require sponsorship at any time.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audiovisual equipment and systems as well as assisting with IT Technical Support. This position requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and outstanding communication skills to deliver top-notch service.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and test A/V equipment, including projectors, microphones, speakers, mixers, displays, cameras, and other related devices.
• Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of A/V systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize technical issues during events.
• Collaborate with event planners and organizers to understand A/V requirements for various events.
• Set up and operate audio and visual equipment during conferences, meetings, seminars, and other gatherings.
• Monitor A/V systems during events to ensure smooth operation and promptly resolve any technical glitches that may arise.
• Support the IT Desktop support department when AV work is not required.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 1 years in a technical support role. Experience as an A/V Technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of A/V equipment, setups, and configurations preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of audio and video signal flow, including routing and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with various A/V connectors, cables, and adapters preferred.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience with MS365 and Windows 10/11.
• Experience with PC Imaging
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality results in time-sensitive situations.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and adapt to changing event schedules.
