Addison Group is Hiring a Senior Human Resources Coordinator Near Evanston, IL

Our senior living client is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join their team on a Direct Hire basis. Ideal candidates will be approachable, flexible with HR experience and excellent communication skills. Previous healthcare experience highly preferred.

Role: Human Resources Coordinator

Location : Evanston, Illinois

Salary: $45-62K (Based on years of HR experience)

Additional Details: 100% onsite

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Under supervision, the human resources coordinator performs work of moderate difficulty in human resources and benefits administration and performs related work as assigned. The HR Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating and providing administrative support to the HR team and being the first point of contact for employees.

  • Responsible to perform the front desk duties of the Human Resources office including greeting employees and job applicants, screening contacts for the Campus and Corporate HR staff, and answering and routing telephone calls.
  • Coordinates the planning and preparation for new hire orientation, recognition events, holiday parties and other activities.
  • Provides support for the HR team during the pre-employment process for new hires, which includes creating the personnel file, and reviewing the checklist for accuracy, and additional responsibilities as needed
  • Coordinates with assisting with new employee onboarding paperwork
  • Maintains active and inactive employee personnel files and I-9 documentation according to federal and state law requirements.
  • Makes photocopies, faxes documents, distributes mail and performs other clerical functions
  • Assist employees and guests with forms and answer to HR general questions
  • Provides new hires with a brief overview of Employee Handbook, general benefits information as appropriate.
  • Prepares identification badge for new employees and replacements for existing staff
  • Supports the Community HR Director for leave of absence tracking for FMLA/STD/EIB and Immunizations
  • Assist with worker’s compensation tracking and administration as needed
  • Coordinates Safety Meeting and agenda
  • Maintains employee’s HR master file in Kronos, Relias and personnel file. Includes weekly processing of change forms.
  • Enters new hires and term dates on the Healthcare Workers registry or other department registry employee on regular basis, at least monthly.
  • Maintains HR bulletin boards and regulatory postings
  • Supports communication updates on Stand Up on Engage on perks, benefits, and campus updates
  • Maintains office inventory and equipment including but not limited to ordering of supplies, replenishing of employment related documents, and coordinating office equipment maintenance.
  • Conducts ongoing audits for personnel file, I9, licensure, certifications, and other compliance regulatory expectations
  • Assist with tracking overtime, Relias completion training, and workers compensation reports
  • Assists department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures.
  • Is aware of corporate policies including those having to do with confidentiality and security of information, and concern for the wellbeing of resident and patients. Demonstrates behaviors and completes work in a manner consistent with these policies.
  • Is knowledgeable in basic benefits, FMLA, WC, STD, leave of absences, human resources, and recruiting.
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Other duties as assigned
