Taormino & Associates is a small real-estate development business in Davis, CA. We work with builders, local jurisdictions, community members, and other partners on our projects. We work on both residential and commercial development projects.
Our work environment includes:
Accountant / Bookkeeper (Part-time - 20 hours/week)
We are looking for an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to undertake all aspects of financial management for Taormino & Associates, Inc. and other companies under the Taormino Family Investments umbrella including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Flow Management, General Ledger, Monthly Financial Statements, Semimonthly Payroll, and Payroll Tax Deposits.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in a similar role. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while also asking questions when they need more direction or clarification.

Responsibilities:
· A/R, A/P, Cash Flow Management
· Semimonthly payroll and payroll tax deposits to EDD and IRS
· Bank account and credit card reconciliations
· Cost accounting for payroll & real estate developments
· Annual audit, review, and renewal of insurance policies
· Process year-end tax filing requirements including 1099’s and W-2’s
· Initiate bridge loans as requested
· Manage property accounts by recording income and expenses on a monthly basis for property management
Financial Reporting:
· Prepare weekly cash flow for all entities
· Prepare A/P summary and budget vs actual reports for real estate developments
· General ledger management – monthly review and preparation of QuickBooks financial reports for companies (Balance Sheet and Income Statement) to ensure that costs are classified correctly.
· Management of inter-company loans
Skills:
· 5 years of overall combined accounting experience
· Degree in accounting or relevant field
· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
· Excellent grasp of QuickBooks required, including experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Payroll
· Excellent grasp of Excel and other Microsoft Suite of applications
· Experience with preparing and analyzing of financial statements and budgets
· Experience with general ledger management and the month-end/year-end close process
· Experience in real estate and construction job costing a plus
· Attention to detail, file maintenance, and good time management
