A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Performs IT functions such as development, design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging, and implementation of business applications in support of one or more functional areas such as materials, marketing, accounting, or human resources. Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports business systems applications utilizing and managing operating systems, database, and utilities software. Plans, conducts, and supports the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. 

  • Provides daily operations support and administration for enterprise systems in order to meet business goals.
  • Responds to user issues, concerns, problems, and inquiries.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with ERP systems.
  • Schedules and oversees user acceptance testing (UAT). Answers user questions and generally serves as the primary contact for users throughout the UAT process.
  • Works closely with cross-functional end users to translate business needs into system requirements.
  • Performs configuration of enterprise systems.
  • Identifies process improvements initiatives and leads them through to completion.
  • Provides coaching, training and mentoring of junior team members.
  • Confirms completion of required training plan before assuming job responsibilities.
  • Coordinates with application vendors for external support as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicates with internal users and external contacts to resolve system integrations issues.

YOU’RE AWESOME AT:

  • Technical knowledge of database and business systems.
    • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
    • Ability to conduct research into business applications and products as required.
    • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
    • Ability to transfer business knowledge & experience to support specific business applications.
  • Strong customer-service orientation.
  • Skilled at clearly conveying in-depth knowledge to all levels within, and outside of, the organization.
  • Skilled at creating a cooperative team environment.
  • Able to objectively evaluate situations and make recommendations for changes in light of overall project demands.

EXTRA AWESOME:

  • B.S. in computer science or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • 5 years of experience working in a business applications environment.
  • Previous experience working in Professional Services environment preferred.
  • Previous experience includes:
  • 2 years of SQL Server database development experience. (Transact-SQL programming)
  • Enterprise system (ERP, CRM, etc.) Dynamics AX 2012 or D365 Finance and Operations experience. (preferred)
  • Functional business experience in processes of supported applications.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base pay range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.

Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts. You’ll also receive 11 paid holidays per year, a minimum of 20 days of paid time off (starting in year 1) and have access to a 401k plan with company match. Learn more about Tandem’s benefits here!
