THE COMPANY Our client, an award winning and leading Architecture firm with a strong presence in the USA, is currently hiring for a Project Manager (Architecture) to join their team in Detroit, Michigan. In this role you will manage projects to ensure that all contractual commitments are met on time and within budget. As a Project Manager, you will be the main point of contact with clients, visiting them and the project sites, and have an understanding of project financials to determine the necessary resources required for successful project execution. In addition, you will provide leadership to a multi-disciplined team, monitor project performance, and forecast revenue. THE ROLE
Work as the key point of contact with clients as well as with contractors and other stakeholders in managing large healthcare / hospital projects
Develop and monitor deliverables, work plans, schedules, and budgets for all project stages
Coordinate with contractor, sub-consultants, or relevant building authorities to address and document issues with constructability or owner concerns
Create detailed work plans with the appropriate allocation of resources, following project progress and monitoring budgets
Maintain a good understanding of the project scope and when changes to the scope occur, negotiate solutions to ensure outcomes meet client expectations and contractual obligations
See the successful execution of projects from start to finish
WHAT'S REQUIRED
15 years of industry experience with at least 4 years working with healthcare projects
Strong project management experience
Registered with a relevant professional association is an asset - ideally licensed Architect with AIA or eligible to obtain registration
Experience in client management is required
Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and resourcefulness
A strong understanding of working with the financials on projects is required
Good knowledge of building code and by laws
