We are searching for a Facilities Automation Designer in Allen, TX

Job Description:

The Facilities Automation Designer will be responsible for designing and implementing safety automation systems for semiconductor manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to develop and implement automation solutions that provide emergency failsafe actions. This includes identification of issues, valve closure, area look out measures and other pertinent actions to contain emergency situations.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement automation systems for semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to implement automation solutions.
Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical support for automation systems.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in automation technology.
Ensure failsafe methods pass municipal codes and standards.
Work with municipal code enforcement to ensure system success and implementation meet or exceed established regulatory statutes.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Must have a professional engineer license.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation design and implementation
Experience with PLC programming, HMI design, and SCADA systems
Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
