We are searching for an EHS Specialist in Sherman, TX.

• Responsible for providing multi-media (air, waste, wastewater) technical support to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards for assigned plant location.
• Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring company ESH programs and policies to ensure compliance.
• Responsible for maintaining knowledge of applicable regulations as necessary for job function.
• Performs and supports work area audits, inspections, incident investigations, and process and facility lay-out design reviews, delivers training, provides risk reduction recommendations and corrective actions.
• May characterizes emissions from plant operations in addition to safety and health hazards.
• Develops procedures and regulatory documents, assesses risk, and provides technical support on manufacturing and support systems.
• Follows standard practices and procedures in collecting data, performing calculations, and analysis from which answers can be obtained.
• Responsible for recommending corrective action where environmental, health and safety hazards exist.
• Interfaces with security and emergency services personnel, ESH specialists, facilities and manufacturing engineers and operators and management to gather and exchange information necessary to complete job functions.
• Education BS with five years plus experience and thorough working knowledge of general environmental health and safety.
