Job Description:

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for prioritizing workload within the department, triaging time sensitive priorities and ensuring completion of tasks by the department.
• Responsible for ensuring that fragrance formulas are evaluated for safety and regulatory compliance according to industry, regulatory and customer requirements.
• Work closely with Sales Colleagues to support customer requests.
• Educate perfumers on safety/regulatory requirements for fragrance creation.
• Ensure preparation of fragrance safety documents as per customer requests
• Oversees communication with customers on safety and regulatory issues.
• Monitors and keeps abreast of major fragrance safety, legislative and regulatory issues.
• Prepare and maintain SDSs for fragrance compounds, according to appropriate country regulations.
• Supervises and mentors Fragrance Safety Assurance staff.
• Special projects as assigned by the Global VP of SRA

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in science (e.g. toxicology, biology, chemistry or related) required, M.S. in science preferred.

Experience: Minimum 15 years’ experience in regulatory or product safety, preferably in fragrance industry with more than 5 years of managerial experience.

Competencies:

• Good communication skills.
• Computer literate; working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Proficient with the use of Trifoil, The Wercs and SAP.
