Purpose of Position:

Responsible for providing accurate accounting of the general ledger and bank accounts. Assists and leads in the preparation of complete and accurate internal financial statements and accounting records.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist Staff Accountants in preparation of accurate general ledger and month end close financial statements.

• Will maintain, monitor and verify balance sheet and income statement accounts.

• Assist with weekly preparation and accuracy of Bank Activity Status reports.

• Post complete and accurate accounts payable, payroll, deposits, book transfers, bank activity in a timely and consistent manner.

• Reconcile financial activities providing complete, accurate and timely reconciliations and reports for management, auditors, regulatory agencies and financial institutions as assigned.

• Each month analyze revenue and expenditures accounts to determine if discrepancies exist and investigate.

• Lead, organize and observe annual count of all funds at Casino. Produce reconciliation of activity.

• Assist with preparation of annual IRS submissions as related to gaming industry tax related returns.

• Analyze and research account variances and provide detailed explanations to management.

• Promptly prepare specialized management accounting reports on an as-needed basis.

• Have a solid understanding of GAAP.

• Maintain integrity while handling sensitive and confidential situations.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required, unless otherwise waived by Executive Management.

• Requires four (4) years of Accounting experience, preferably in gaming industry.

• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication (verbal and written), analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills are required. Strong knowledge of database concepts, advanced skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite as well as the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects is required.
