Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting/Bookkeeper to join our team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable aspect of duties at first, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services and private equity, with a deep understanding of accounting clerical duties with the desire to move up in the company. A diversified individual seeking opportunities to excel and move up is desired.

Preferred Duties:

- Manage all aspects of the company's accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and tax compliance

- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions

- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and strategic initiatives

- Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

- Provide guidance and support to accounting staff, including training and development opportunities

Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (not a requirement....but preferred)

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles

- Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations

- Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting

- Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping principles

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite
