This role is on-site in Seattle or San Francisco
Contract to Hire
This would be full stack, with an emphasis on the server/infrastructure side (PHP, Node, AWS).
You will contribute with your team to plan and implement ambitious product development goals that ensure proper interoperability between application and platform services and are built for scale. You will work on the front-end and back-end, and so will need expertise in at least one of those areas — and be looking to learn more about both. The position is in San Francisco or Seattle.
Our team is cross functional, responsible and empowered for: design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and runtime support of web applications. The (current) technical stack is Angular on the front end, with PHP / node / Go on the back-end. Infrastructure is AWS / terraform.
Your Product
You will be building tools for adaptive content creation, to enable authors to create and enhance content which helps people learn.
Requirements
- 5 years professional experience in software engineering / web applications.
- Experience with PHP, Python, Go, Node or other back-end languages. Experience with SQL
- Experience with AWS infrastructure
- Nice to have experience with Angular development or strong experience with other similar JavaScript framework (React, Ember, Backbone, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (some of you colleagues will be remote)
- Experience with orchestration of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with unit testing frameworks and strategies
- Experience with Agile / Scrum
- Experience with Docker, Redis, GraphQL; Terraform, CircleCI, Datadog, NewRelic
