Synergy Interactive is seeking a Sr. Front End Developer for an exciting new tech start-up in the West Loop of Chicago. You will be a crucial role in the development of Front End React-based applications. We are seeking a true Front End Expert vs a full-stack engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Develop robust, scalable front-end applications using React and TypeScript, ensuring type safety and code quality.
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
• Write functional requirement documents and guides
• Create quality mockups and prototypes

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Front-End Developer with a focus on React.js
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web socket experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of and commitment to modern security practices, with the ability to write code that is not only functional and efficient but also secure against known threats
• Familiarity with advanced TypeScript patterns and practices, such as conditional types, mapped types, and utility types.
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Familiarity with code versioning tools
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Smart and curious, quick learner, positive attitude, personally easy-going, creative problem-solver, good communication skills.
