Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

The VP FP&A – Operations Strategy & Transformation, HQ & Reporting leader reports to VP, Finance - Operations Leader.

As a member of the Operations Cost & Productivity FP&A team, the role is primarily required to partner with the SVP, Strategy & Transformation & Staff and also with the Global Collections, Recovery & Operational Solutions and Global Service Delivery & Transformation teams to identify, quantify, communicate, execute and measure Strategic and Common Intake initiatives. The role is additionally accountable for consolidating planning, forecasting and reporting of the Consolidated Operation budget and to partner with Tech FP&A team on consolidated Tech-Ops Financial Reporting.

The goal of the position is to drive shareholder value by providing insightful decision support leveraging reporting, analytics an continuous productivity improvements while ensuring sufficient functional resources for compliance and governance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Financial responsibilities include month end close, reporting, pacing, planning, and client profitability and related ad-hoc risk & opportunity analytics for Operations HQ sub-functions

  • Cross Functional responsibilities include significant interaction and reviews with Tech-Ops Functional leaders to identify, prioritize, evaluate and drive execution of Strategic Initiatives (SI) and /Common Intake (CI) initiatives

  • Support VP Finance, Operations Leader with consolidated Operation financial analysis, R&O’s and Consolidated Operations / Tech-Ops Reporting requirements

  • Partner with broader Operations FP&A team relative to coordinate SI/CI cost benefit analysis

  • Regularly communicate with the Global Collections, Recovery & Operational Solutions and Global Service Delivery & Transformation workforce planning teams to ensure timely Digital First benefit realization & validation.

  • The position is also responsible for driving best practices and identifying, quantifying and escalating financial opportunities regarding expense management for Consolidated Operations sub-functions

  • Lead cross functional and finance projects as required

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field at least 5 years of work experience in Finance domain

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills. Experience in dealing with multiple demanding stakeholders and managing challenging operational situations

  • Strong Managerial & team building skills

  • Project Management and process improvement experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. An ability to communicate appropriately with people at different levels within the organization

  • Strong Indirect Leadership skills

  • Technical skills: Advanced Excel skills, hands-on experience of working in Hyperion

  • Excellent team management skills and proven ability to work cross functionally as well as within own function

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA & or CPA

  • Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills. Team player in fast-paced, high-energy environment

  • Passionate, proactive, responsible, resourceful, detail oriented, strong work ethic, patience to learn functional levers

  • Delivery focused. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines and to work independently

Grade/Level: 12

The salary range for this position is 85,000.00 - 170,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
