Synchrony Financial is Hiring a Remote AVP, Account Sales Manager

Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

The principle responsibilities of the Account Sales Manager (ASM) are to partner with Relationship Managers, GMs, and marketing teams to drive organic sales & profitable growth for Synchrony and its merchants. The ASM will be tasked to develop sales relationships for merchants across their assigned Book of Business within the Home Furnishings Association (HFA) & Arkansas Home Furnishings Association portfolios. 

We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You have the option to be remote, and work from home, or come into one of our offices. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drive application and sales volume to meet/exceed monthly goals for assigned Book of Business.

  • Execute daily call target strategy leveraging tools within Salesforce.

  • Define personalized merchant growth plans.

  • Leverage Salesforce to drive effective sales touches across defined portfolio.

  • Provide periodic sales reporting and goal analysis to leadership.

  • Execute merchant sales and product training via webinar or in-person meetings to critical teams within merchant’s organization.

  • Manage client initiatives, project planning, execution, and ongoing client communications focused on activation, usage, and retention.

  • Attend & support industry/client trade shows and client meetings as needed.

  • Perform ongoing client audits to ensure compliant POS practices and advertising.

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales Support, 3rd party vendors, Operations, Marketing, Underwriting, Risk, Finance, Legal, and Compliance to ensure sales initiatives are executed in a timely manner. 

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 5 years of client-facing Sales experience

  • 3 years of project support experience

  • Proven track record of accountability and solid follow-up skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications

  • Up to 35% travel required 

Desired Characteristics:

  • Salesforce.com experience

  • Retail consumer credit experience

  • Bachelors in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field

  • Cross-functional business experience

  • Displays high integrity and leadership.

Grade/Level: 10

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
