SymplyFi isseeking an experienced Linux Systems Engineer tojoin our team in Atlanta.
In this role youwill provide systems management, troubleshooting and engineering support of our Linux based network cloud applicationstack, Linux based network hardware devices as well as related VoIPand Firewall infrastructure.
A solidunderstanding of and experience with Linux based OS, TCP/IPnetworking and open source infrastructure technology is required.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a full-timeon-site role located in our Mid-town Atlanta GA office.
What You’ll Do:
Linux Server Infrastructure (30%) configuration, maintenance & management
Systems Engineering (30%)providing configuration, troubleshooting & support for our network cloud applications and embedded Linux Client Premise Equipment
Manage & Troubleshoot (20%) Linux based Network, Firewall, VoIP & VPN services
Engineering Support and training (10%) to help the internal helpdesk and implementation teams master our technology and resolve complex application issues
DevOps (10%) –document and coordinate with developers on bug fixes, code release & testing
Requirements
6 years of experience with RedHat/CentOS and/or Debian/Ubuntu Server administration in a production environment
Technical puzzle solving skills - i.e. solid ability to research, understand and debug complex server, application & networking issues
4 Years of TCP/IP & Linux networking experience in a production environment
4 years experience with shell & python scripting for task automation
4 Years experience with core networking protocols, applications and services in Linux including DNS, DHCP, nftables/ipables, VLAN/802.1Q, routing, switching/bridging & NFS
4 years experience with virtualization technologies, e.g., QEMU, KVM, ProxMox etc.
2 years experience with Ansible
2 years experience with Docker
Able to work full-time in the office with your peers
Self-motivated and driven to improve your technical knowledge and professional skills
Desired Qualifications (not required but helpful):
CEPH Storage
PROXMOX
Jenkins,
Asterisk VoIP server
OpenWRT/LEDE or other embedded Linux OS experience
Linux 4G/LTE modem troubleshooting experience
