Symetra is Hiring a Remote Regional Director, Account Management - Remote

Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Benefits team as a Regional Director of Account Management!

About the role

As a Regional Director, you will implement and oversee Account Management and workflows designed to enhance the customer experience. You'll lead operations in each assigned sales office for Group Life, Disability and Select Benefits. You'll develop strategies to improve departmental structure and procedures based on team performance, market requirements, and growth initiatives. You'll lead a team of Regional Account Managers based in the Eastern US region.

What you will do

  • Manage direct reports including Regional Account Managers.
  • Provide specific written objectives for field sales support team in field sales offices assigned to a particular territory.
  • Support, enhance and monitor individual performance for each team member.
  • Interview, hire and train support staff in regional offices.
  • Travel to leadership, team and division meetings (25%).
  • Develop and implement procedures for all aspects of the Life, Disability and Select Benefits service model.
  • Facilitate legal and customer issues and complaints in a timely manner by the appropriate individuals on the field service team and internal constituents.
  • Anticipates business needs and facilitate system and workflow enhancements and development.
  • Forecast the impact of system interfaces with other critical areas of the company, such as Underwriting, Policy Issue, Claims, Finance, and Actuarial.
  • Develop strong relationships with key internal and external clients (to include brokers, clients, consultants and internal constituents).
  • Regularly attend customer stewardship meetings, renewal meetings, implementation meeting, finalist presentations, etc. as part of the Account Management team.
  • Manage Individual and Team budgets.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $121,300 - $202,200 plus eligibility for Company Annual Bonus

Who you are

  • Bachelor's Degree or related work experience
  • Life and Health Insurance License
  • 5 Years field leadership experience, 3 years experience of managing account manager work
  • 10 years experience in Group Life, Disability and Absence Management
