In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the flawless implementation of our products and services across multiple regions. Your exceptional project management skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential in successfully driving the implementation process from start to finish.

What you'll do in this role

  • Actively participates in industry groups to stay aware of proposed regulations to ensure Service and Operations is providing input on changes that may have an adverse impact to our operation. -
  • Monitor incoming regulatory changes to determine impact to Service and Operations, including tax processes.
  • Work with Tax, Law and Compliance to ensure that Symetra's implementation of the change meets the requirements of the new regulation.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure timely implementation of regulatory changes.
  • Monitors to ensure changes were implemented as expected and fulfill requirements of regulation.
  • Partner with Compliance to ensure timely responses during internal or external examinations or inquiries
  • Own multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Lead discussion and documentation of project decisions. - Keep all stakeholders regularly informed of status.
  • Consistently achieve all key milestones and deliver on time.
  • Ensure that the Retirement and Life Divisions meet reporting (including W-2s, 1099s, etc.) and administration duties (e.g., timely, accurate); supporting regulatory implementation efforts.
  • Act as a Consultant for complex transactions.
  • Monitor and ensure timely resolution of Compliance issues, Tax Related issues, and audit findings.
  • Act as Service and Operations liaison to Audit Services and Compliance
  • Escalation point for OFAC, AML and FinCEN processes
  • Actively demonstrate pro-active process improvement relevant to tax administration services that will enhance the external and the internal customer experience.

Compensation

Salary Range: $91,200-$151,900 plus eligibility for annual bonus program

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet navigation, comfort with assorted commercial application programs * Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Serve as subject matter expert on tax-related topics
  • Conduct research necessary to solve problems and/or provide defensible answers
  • Have experience with Life Insurance products- managing projects or Business Analyst supporting Life Insurance products
