Sylvan Learning of Exton is looking for K-6th grade ELA teachers for a part time position.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Sylvan Teacher's are responsible for creating a positive learning experience for students. Sylvan teacher's follow a personalized learning plan for each student which is ready to deliver to the students. Teacher's work in small group of 3 students per hour.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Prepares for each instructional session; Gathers and prepares materials as appropriate
• Instructs students according to the design of the Sylvan programs
• Provides homework support when needed
• Manages students, tasks and time to create a balanced and robust instructional session
• Evaluates and records the progress of each student on their program assignment
• Communicates specific student needs to the Director
• Completes certification training on each Sylvan program taught to students
• Provide Homework Support when required.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

o State or provincial teaching credentials (current or expired)
o Minimum of one or two years of teaching experience preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Proven ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students to learn
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Monday - Thursday - 4:30 pm - 7:30pm

Saturday - 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
