Job Title Team Lead
The Team Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of care for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This position adheres to CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) standards, providing guidance, supervision, and support to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). The Team Lead will work closely with the administrative team and will be expected to allocate approximately 80% of their time to direct care and 20% to administrative tasks. Additionally, the Team Lead must possess a valid driver's license, maintain auto insurance, and be willing to engage in transportation-related responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervision and Support
1. Provide direct supervision to a team of DSPs, ensuring adherence to CARF standards and company policies.
2. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for professional growth.
3. Foster a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication and collaboration.
Direct Care
1. Deliver high-quality care to individuals with IDD, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal growth.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), promoting individualized support and skill development.
Administrative Tasks
1. Assist in the coordination and scheduling of shifts, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including client progress notes, incident reports, and other documentation as required.
3. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions as needed.
Transportation Responsibilities
1. Safely transport individuals to and from various appointments, activities, and community outings.
2. Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and company policies related to transportation. Complete any additional tasks or projects as assigned by the supervisor or management team.
