SWIM USA is a designer and manufacturer of women's swimwear located in New York City. We are 84 years young and seeking a dynamic Associate Account Executive to join our team.

Job Summary

Supports the execution of strategies set by the Director of International Sales by performing sales activities including providing administrative, clerical, and customer support.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

  • Account structure determined based on candidate qualifications
  • Complete bulk orders and forward to Customer Service
  • Prepare and maintain Summary Sheets for each account
  • Review and manipulate inventory and allocation reports for any discrepancies and follow up to alleviate problems.
  • Communicate to Customer Service, order changes, confirmation, bulk adjustments etc.
  • Communicate to customer, bulk order and purchase order info and changes
  • Create, distribute and follow up on Work Orders when inventory needs special handling at warehouse
  • Maintain order files for each account with cover sheets, bulks and confirmations in an orderly manner
  • Maintain order, sales ROF, and sales budget log

SALES ADMINISTRATION

  • Primary sales support for all major accounts
    • Read, analyze, interpret, and distribute weekly selling reports for all major retailers
      • Present sales strategies based on interpretation of data
    • Complete retailer-specific requirements such as ecomm item info, data entry into vendor portal, item info sheets, UPC distribution, etc.
    • Sit in sales meetings and document conversation, decisions made, photograph chosen styles and distribute info to all concerned parties
    • Prepare CAD line sheets of buyers' selections for select accounts
    • Fulfill sample requests from accts, including ad, TOP
  • Manage new account set ups requirements including set-up forms, vendor agreements, insurance documents etc.
  • Work with Product Mgr. and Shipping Mgr. to ensure compliance with all retailer requirements- packaging materials, tickets, packing etc.
  • Territory sales support
    • Fulfill road rep & distributor sample and catalog needs
    • Assist road reps & distributor with any special requests
    • Manage account approvals and tradeshow approvals and communication
  • Manage Line Sheet and catalog admin including proofing and distribution
  • Manage NuORDER leads and distribute to appropriate rep or distributor for contact

SHOWROOM

  • Assist merchandiser prep for meetings by getting samples show-ready, prepping CAD sheets etc.
  • Maintain sample lines in showroom with ownership of Sample Log
  • Ensure showroom is neat and ready to go at all times and selling tools are always available; i.e. line sheets, catalogs, look books etc.
  • Review model lines for style selection and appearance
  • Prepare sample lines for photoshoots and trade shows.

Qualifications/Requirements (To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education: Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in apparel related field preferred

Skills:

  • Must be a self-motivated individual who excels in a collaborative, high-energy environment
  • Team player
  • Willing to learn and grow within the role and hungry to take on new task with the ultimate goal of brand success
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing needs of the business and scope of role
  • Must possess computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Must be fluent with Excel report design, pivot tables, v-lookups
  • Working knowledge of retail math
  • Must be familiar with office equipment

Working Conditions: Office - flexible hybrid schedule - 3 days in office

Travel: Occasional travelling required

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand, sit, and walk 8 hours/day
  • Vision requirements correctable to 20/20 vision
