Position Overview:
We are seeking a high-energy and bubbly team member to be a part of our Front Desk

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients and ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter our office.
  • Explain treatment plans and financial options to patients, ensuring they understand their recommended dental procedures and associated costs.
  • Collect payments and coordinate billing procedures accurately.
  • Handle phone calls, text messaging, and emails professionally, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments promptly.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the dental office.
  • Submitting insurance claims and verifying coverage for patients.
  • Updating communication logs and documenting patient interactions accurately.
  • Scheduling/cancelling appointments and managing the appointment calendar efficiently.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure seamless workflow and patient care.
  • Calling insurance companies to resolve billing issues and inquiries.
  • Maintaining meticulous record-keeping and organizing patient files.
  • Preparing outgoing mail and handling correspondence effectively.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and engaging with children and their families.
  • Demonstrating a solution-oriented approach to address patient concerns and inquiries.
  • Assisting with light cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Organizing and maintaining files, including keeping the storage room orderly.
  • Taking initiative to keep the office environment organized and efficient.
  • Creating documents and utilizing software such as Google Docs, Gmail, and spreadsheets.
  • Prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations.
  • Sending and receiving messages with patients in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner.
  • Familiarity with Dental software or willingness to learn Open Dental Software.
  • Participating in our marketing initiatives to promote our services and engage with the community.
  • Being creative problem solvers and contributing innovative ideas to improve processes.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and colleagues in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Outgoing, high energy, and bubbly personality to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the dental office.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with dental office operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or certification in dental office administration is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail for tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating logs, and maintaining records.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace, for tasks such as document creation, email communication, and spreadsheet management.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations within the dental office.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new software systems, specifically Open Dental Software, or familiarity with dental software systems would be advantageous.
  • Solution-oriented mindset to address patient concerns and inquiries effectively.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist other team members as needed, including participating in marketing initiatives and engaging with the community.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to contribute innovative ideas for improving processes and patient satisfaction.
