Job Description

Sweet Pea's in search of an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. This position is dedicated to improving the entire hiring process for our store management teams, as well as simplifying the experience for our candidates. They are a true ambassador for the company that plays a key role in finding and screening high-quality candidates in a competitive environment.

We are looking for talented individuals who have a proven track record of attracting top talent, conducting quality interviews and selection, and demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills. Our ideal candidate will be a “self-starter” who is proficient in Recruiting/Onboarding.

The ideal candidate must possess the following competencies:

  • Collaborates – Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives

Purpose of this Position:

This position should dedicate 50% of it’s time to recruiting efforts for the retail stores, and the other 50% to a mixture of social media and customer engagement, and evaluation/implementation of onboarding and training processes.

Talent Acquisition Specialist responsibilities include (other duties may be assigned):

  • Organize, attend, and execute open houses, job fairs, and other recruiting events
  • Serve as a liaison with multiple area employment agencies, colleges, and other associations
  • Drive company’s mission statement to employees – “Customer service, cleanliness, consistency”
  • Handle customer inquiries/complaints – Notify appropriate personnel
  • Maintains working knowledge of technology, applicant tracking, and industry trends
  • Measures success of initiatives
  • Regularly communicates with store operations the recruiting progress
  • Manage and oversee text to apply software and communication
  • List all job openings to internal HR portal, website, and social media
  • Actively create posts and engage with customers through social media
  • Train and gain internal feedback to continuously improve on hiring / recruitment processes
  • Be knowledgeable of and assist with onboarding and training of new employees
  • Assist with training program (Ready training online)
  • Manage message boards
  • Support HR as needed (benefit roll-outs, etc.)

Qualifications


  • Strong ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Highly proficient with technology
  • Minimum of a year of experience in Talent acquisition, recruitment, sales, and/or sourcing required
  • Strong ability to professionally communicate company’s core values to a wide-variety of audiences

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license
