Job Summary: Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) has an opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team of finance and accounting professionals. This position will report directly to our VP of Finance / CAO based in Tampa, Florida, and interact with business leaders of various functional areas across the company. Job Location: Tampa, Florida, with hybrid remote opportunity considerationsJob Hours: Full-time, Professional, Exempt Job Responsibilities: Prepare, analyze, and / or track weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports required for management, board, ownership, and other internal and external stakeholders.Complete monthly closing activities including posting journal entries and reconciliations, or review of such work performed by other finance and accounting team members.Ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of actual, forecast, and budget processes through analytical reviews.Project-based work to include review, design, and implementation of policies, processes, and internal controls within the O-T-C revenue cycle, P-2-P disbursement cycle, and R-T-R transaction cycle as assigned by management.Perform data analysis on master data and transactional data within the accounting system to inform management decisions.Apply a risk-based approach to identify and mitigate gaps in internal control (system controls and manual controls) and assist in development and implementation of new internal control activities.Prepare data flow design, flowcharts, narratives, policy and procedure proposals, and other documents in support of the continuous improvement initiatives of the company.Research and apply FASB ASC (codification) to daily transactions.Take end-to-end ownership of assigned areas of responsibility.Job Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting.
