Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Body Shop Estimator to join our team. As a Body Shop Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate estimates, and providing exceptional customer service. This is a full-time position within our reputable dealership. Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed - Utilize auto estimating software to prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates - Communicate with customers, insurance adjusters, and technicians to ensure clear understanding of repair requirements - Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering any questions related to the repair process - Collaborate with the service writing team to schedule repairs and order necessary parts - Maintain accurate records of all repair estimates, invoices, and customer interactions - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automotive repair techniques Qualifications: - Previous experience in auto estimating or related field is required - Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and procedures - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines - Proficient in using computer software for estimating purposes - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Skills: - Auto estimating - Transmitting accurate estimates to customers and insurance adjusters - Sales skills to effectively communicate repair recommendations to customers - Automotive repair knowledge to accurately assess vehicle damage - Mechanical knowledge to understand repair procedures and requirements - Experience working in a dealership or automotive service environment is preferred - Service writing experience is a plus - Familiarity with auto body repair processes We offer competitive pay based on experience and skills, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
