Job Title: Full Stack Software Engineer

Location: Remote (comfortable working in the Pacific Time Zone)

SureCo is changing how people in the US take care of their health - in 2020, new regulations went into effect, allowing employers to offer more choice at lower cost for employee health benefits, and SureCo is at the vanguard of that change. We are a startup providing a SaaS platform letting brokers, employers, and employees to shop for the services they want to support the health of their families.

As we grow, we’re hiring a full stack software engineer to join our development team! You’ll lead projects, develop and enhance features, refactor and optimize the software architecture, and collaborate with other developers, product managers, designers, project managers, infra engineers, as well as internal stakeholders. You’ll be reporting directly to our Chief Product & Technology Officer and have a real voice in driving our software forward!

 Responsibilities

• Full stack software development - we use Typescript / NestJS /ReactJS / Prisma / Amazon RDS (Postgres). Our systems are managed by our infra team on the usual gamut of AWS services like EKS/ECS, SQS, SNS, and S3
• Collaborate with team members to innovate and create efficient, scalable solutions
• Engage in code reviews and technical discussions to improve our products and practices.
• Participate in CI/CD processes
• Write clean, functional code on the front end and back end
• Write tests, triage issues, and fix bugs as they are found.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a full stack developer or similar role
• Familiarity with common stacks; knowledge of JS/TS is required.
• Experience building on AWS
• Good understanding of databases, web servers, and effective implementation of clean web UI
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail and organizational skills
• 3 Years experience in related field 
• A formal degree is not required; we value diverse life experiences and career paths
