Seeking an energetic and reliable person to serve as a Support Service Professional (SSP) for an active young man with autism. He uses an alphabet board and an iPad with text to speech capability to communicate. Great listening skills a must. Candidates must be willing to train as a communication support partner-training provided! Must hold a clean driving record and have good knowledge of the local community. All candidates must possess a strong belief in the participant self- direction model. If you have prior experience working with autistic adults, you are encouraged to apply!

• Hours Available: Tues and Fri 9am-5pm, Thursdays 9am-3pm, Sat and Sun 11-5. Also, Sun-Thurs 5pm-9pm. Hours can be arranged flexibly.

Qualifications:

• Clear Criminal Background checks and drug screening
• Possession of Valid PA Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
• Ability to work Independently but effectively as a Team Member
• Ability to Communicate Effectively
• Physically Active
• Some computer skills required
• Strong work ethic
• Reliable, Dependable Commitment to equality for all individuals
• Daily Documentation and Service Notes to be completed
• Experience working with individuals with Autism preferred.

Degree in psychology, education, special education, counseling, social work or gerontology), NADD Certification OR Board certified ABA preferred

Staff will be interviewed, hired, trained, and supervised by the family. Resume’s will be reviewed prior to offer of first interview. Salary is competitive for the right candidate- $20.00-25.00 per hour to start (depending on education and experience).
