We are on the forefront of innovation through Fiber Optic Cables, Power over Ethernet, Intelligent Buildings and Cities, 5G Fiber infrastructure including Hybrid and Composite solutions, as well as technological advancements being made at our Product Development Center. Superior Essex Communications is completing a previously announced $73 million investment in its Brownwood, TX plant focused on expansion of fiber optic and hybrid cables.

We are seeking a hands-on Vice President of Sales who will be responsible for leading all sales activities related to the Broadband business (selling all Superior Essex Communications products to this market). This individual will develop clearly defined sales strategies to grow existing and new business across markets, products, and channels to meet overall growth and profitability targets. The successful candidate will be able to define and build out sales processes, foster a culture of sales excellence, accountability, and collaboration, and drive new growth opportunities for the organization. This role is role located in our Atlanta, Georgia office.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee development of sales strategies and business plans, including definition of new markets, branding initiatives, channel management and pricing/terms and conditions policies.
  • Attract, develop, and build sales organization to achieve long-term success and exceed growth targets.
  • Effectively manage pipelines and provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting; define, analyze, and interpret key sales metrics; track, manage and maximize sales team effectiveness for revenue and profit.
  • Develop strategic alliances with manufacturers of products used in conjunction with Superior Essex products by end users and distributors.
  • Negotiate contracts and growth incentive agreements with distributors to manage product distribution, establish distribution networks and develop distribution strategies.
  • Advise business and other groups on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of products and services.
  • Oversee sales forecasts and manage departmental budget.
  • Coordinate and participate in promotional activities, customer sales meetings and trade shows, working with marketing and product managers, to market products and services.
  • Member of the Superior Essex Communications Leadership team helping to drive short-term and long-term strategic initiatives.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. MBA a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience leading a sales function.
  • Strong track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue and profit targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high-performing sales team.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication/presentation skills, including ability to conduct compelling and concise demonstrations to technical and non-technical audiences, including sales staff.
  • Hands-on consultative, complex selling and negotiations experience.
  • Proven experience defining sales processes and overseeing sales operations.
  • Strong P L experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, sales reporting tools and CRM software.
