Superior Biomedical is Hiring an Electrical/Mechanical Technician Near Lakeland, FL

The Electrical/Mechanical Technician I position works within the Biomedical Engineering section of the company maintaining clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan. Performs a variety of routine tasks, including the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment.

The Electrical/Mechanical Technician I will work, utilizing standard and specialized electronic test equipment and tools to perform calibration, maintenance, and repairs of medical equipment, including Apple operating systems.

Candidate must maintain current FL drivers’ license and vehicle insurance.

  • Repairs, tests, and calibrates medical equipment according to OEM recommendations.
  • One – three years’ experience with electronics or computer repair.
  • Assists in ordering replacement parts and supplies necessary for the servicing of medical equipment.
  • Prioritizes work load effectively and complete all work assignments in a timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate documentation as required by current policies and procedures.
  • Required to support multiple hospitals and facilities as assigned.
  • Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working hours are 8:30am- 5pm, M-F or as necessary. Overtime is paid over 40 hours weekly.
