Reports To: Director of Catering, Director of Food & Beverage, and General Manager

Job Summary: A banquet server performs serving duties at breakfast, luncheons, dinners, and events. They must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time while accommodating members and /or guests effectively and politely.

Working Hours: On-call status - weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Must clock in on a biometric fingerprint scanner.
2. Must be on time and will not clock in any earlier than 5 minutes than the scheduled time.
3. Must be in clean pressed uniform prior to entering the building.
4. Sets up side station and performs work assigned by Director of Catering.
5. Provides immediate friendly, positive, and attentive attention to all members/guests upon seating.
6. Service of orders in a timely, efficient manner per standard operating procedures.
7. Serves meal; places dishes by courses in front of each person; serves from the left of the person.
8. Checks back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary.
9. Bus table as needed.
10. Remains readily accessible and attentive to members /guests at all times.
11. Advises Director of Catering of any complaints as soon as they occur.
12. Must check out with the Director of Catering prior to leaving premises.
13. Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness and keeps service in an orderly fashion always.
14. Break down and cleaning of all service areas.
15. All other duties assigned by management.
16. Must be willing to work with co-workers as a team.
17. Must be able to work rapidly during rush periods and follow requests of management without questions.
18. Ability to communicate and understand the directions of management.

Must have a minimum of one year of banquet server experience. Must present a neat appearance, possess a pleasant personality, and wear the required uniform and shoes for the position. Required to stand (1 hours), climb stairs, stoop bend, lift at least 50 lbs., push & pull, and reach overhead. Must possess good communication skills and the ability to understand directions. Must be experienced & familiar with proper methods of etiquette and food/beverage service and presentation. May be required to work outdoors, if needed. Exposure to extreme heat, cold, various chemicals, fumes, and noises.
