Company Overview: Our client has an excitingopportunity for an Accounting Specialist.

Position Summary: Thesuccessful candidate shall have a minimum of 4-6 years offinance or accounting experience. The Accounting Specialist is responsible forproviding financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensureeffective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operations.Must comply with established policies and procedures. Work involves attentionto detail and working under general supervision.

Responsibilities:

·Workingwith both payables and receivables departments.

·Taxes:payroll, sales, quarterly, 401K, etc.

·Bankreconciliations, invoicing, revenue, assist in month end closings and internal& external audits.

·Journalentries, job costs sub ledger entries. Balance all GL and job cost accounts.

·Participatein the monthly closing process including preparation of work-in-process monthlyreporting templates, analysis of certain expense/accrual accounts andpreparation of portions of the consolidation reporting package and externalfinancial statements at year-end.

·Preparationand analysis of certain monthly project level and joint venture financialstatements.

·Analysisof financial information to help evaluate past and future financial performancevia analysis of variances of current to prior periods, budgets, and forecasts.

·Analysisof income statement, balance sheet and cash flow activity.

·Communicatewith all levels of management to gather, analyze, and summarize financialinformation.

·Participatein process/systems enhancements.

·Workwith the external auditors in the completion of the year-end audit.

·AssistCFO with due diligence efforts for evaluation of all potential acquisitions.

·AssistCorporate Controller with certain tax compliance efforts including personalproperty, sales, fuel, and corporate level excise taxes.

·Participatein certain special projects including financial research and modeling involvingequipment management and ERP system implementation.

Qualifications:

·Construction or related industry experiencepreferred (particularly WIP schedules on longer-term projects).

·Public/private accounting experience preferred.

·BS in Accounting, CPA/MBA a plus.

·Strong understanding of financial accountingprinciples including strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and FASB AccountingStandards Codifications.

·Basic understanding of federal and statecorporate income/sales tax principles.

Proficiency with all informationsystems including Microsoft office tools (high degree of Excel expertise),general ledger and consolidation processes (Vista f/k/a Viewpoint), Sage.

·Must know Microsoft Office currently running Windows10. Use a 10 key adding machine and other basic office machines.
