Sunset Auto Family is Hiring a Dealership Controller Near Sumner, WA

Controller

We are seeking a motivated Controller for our Ford Dealership. We need a positive individual with the ability to thrive in a high paced, ever changing environment. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and sound business acumen; and is detail oriented, organized, proactive and a self-motivated individual. Experience as a proven leader in the automotive industry is required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Solid working knowledge of dealership accounting office functions including, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, financial statements, and vehicle titling.
  • Supervises and reviews account analysis and the preparation of financial reports.
  • Interprets the meaning of accounting results and advises the CFO and management.
  • Ensures systems and procedures are in compliance with company and manufacturer policies acceptable accounting practices, and applicable regulations.
  • Ensure maximum efficiency and protection of all dealership assets.
  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Prepares payroll by compiling earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
  • Supervise the controls and measures to control cash and maintain the operational assets.
  • Review and analyze the operational financial statements and give recommendations and guidance to the CFO and general manager as needed.
  • Schedules and assures timely completion of Monthly, Quarterly, and Year End Financial Closings within Accounting Operations.
  • Maintains close working relationships with accountants and CFO to ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and maintenance of a dealership financial structure designed to minimize tax liabilities and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Hiring, training & supervision of dealership office personnel.
  • Develops and implement procedures for streamlining processes including support needed to properly complete reviews, audits, and corporate requests.
  • Seeks opportunities for process enhancements; suggests, plans and implements new policies and procedures as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong willingness to adhere to and train others on established policies/procedures and hold others accountable.
  • Prior Ford manufacturer and general Office Management experience
  • Knowledgeable in various dealership computer systems including, DMS, Microsoft Office, manufacturer, and CRM system.
  • Managing a large-scale inventory flooring and company checkbook
  • Managing a team of employees with ongoing training and developement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year
