Salesperson Non-ExemptJob Summary:As a Salesperson, you will be responsible for selling new and pre-owned vehicles. In this role you will need to be efficient, ambitious, organized and will strive to meet daily, weekly and monthly vehicle sales quotas. Essential Functions:Maintaining comprehensive and up to date knowledge of products and services offered for sale, while effectively presenting, demonstrating, and explaining features and benefits of appropriate vehicles and aftermarket products and servicesEstablishing and fulfilling daily, weekly, and monthly prospecting and sales goals, and utilizing time effectivelyAssisting customers who enter the dealership, answering their questions and helping them select a vehicle that is right for their needsOffering test drives to all prospects and following dealership procedures to obtain proper identification prior to test driveKeeping abreast of new products, features, and accessories available, and translating their benefits to customersReferring closed deals to the finance and insurance (F&I) manager along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.)Preparing sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperworkIntroducing customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available at the dealershipMaintaining a buyer follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfactionOther duties may be assigned as needed Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalentValid California state sales licenseValid Driver’s license and safe driving record; required to have California within 30 daysAbility to lift up to 15 poundsAbility to perform all essential functions of the job description Preferred Qualifications Previous automotive sales experienceExcellent sales and customer service skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to recognize customer’ needsAbility to operate the stores point of sales (POS) system Physical Demands: Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears.
