Sunroad Automotive is Hiring a Human Resources Specialist – Policy, Process, and Onboarding Near San Diego, CA

Summary:As a Human Resources Specialist – Policy, Process and Onboarding, you will work in office and help build and maintain a positive and productive work environment by providing support in the areas of HR processes, compliance and candidate experience support. Essential FunctionsOnboardingWork with the hiring manager to process New Hire Forms ensuring all the necessary information is included and accurate, including job title, location, pay rates, etc.Generate offer letters and new employee packets for new hires and update managers on candidate onboarding progressInitiate pre-employment contingencies such as, background checks, drug screening, and physicals and partner with the Human Resources (HR) Manager when escalation is neededAssist with new requisition form support, when neededComplianceMonitor and audit the Auto Program, including ensuring the Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is generated for employees in driving positions and ensure their Driver’s license status is active; partner with HR Manager when escalation is neededMaintain the employment verification employee records for The Work NumberEnsure the compliance posters are up-to-date and posted in all locationsMonitor and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulationsProcess, update and track COVID-19 cases and employee communication; partner Workers Compensation (WC), when applicable for cases that need to be reported to WCPolicies & ProceduresCreate employee and manager job aids for processes and distribute as necessarySend out employee acknowledgement forms for any updated policies, as applicableDevelops techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting data.Support training and development programs for employees and managers Collaborate with other members of the HR departments on special projects to improve employee retention and engagementMaintain up-to-date knowledge of HR policies and proceduresOtherMaintain satisfactory attendance Other duties as assigned Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis role has no direct reports but may provide guidance/training to less experienced HR staffQualifications:Minimum Qualifications:2 years Human Resources or administrative experienceKnowledge of all federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations.Knowledge of labor and employment laws at a basic levelExperience with HRIS systems and/or HR databasesProven ability to build relationships with all levels of the organizationStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentialityExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to multi-task and manage time effectivelyProficiency with MS Office applications, recruitment software and online job boards. Preferred Qualifications:Dayforce Experience at an intermediate levelExperience with employee life cycle Knowledge of California labor and employment laws at an intermediate levelKnowledge of COVID-19 guidelines Physical Requirements:Extended periods of sitting while working at a desk and using a computerAbility to lift to 15 pounds occasionally Work Environment/Noise Noise level is quiet to moderate *In-office position only.
