Job Summary and Qualifications

Summary:

Seeking an APP/PA-First Assist to provide care for the cardiac surgery patient population and provide skilled assistance to the surgeon during surgery in the First Assist role. We’re looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today!

• You will provide assessments, diagnosis, initiation of treatments and procedures.
• You will oversee the coordination of surgery patients’ course of care during the hospital stay.
• You will interact with patients, prospective patients, patient families, nursing staff, medical staff, administrative team and all ancillary staff.
• You will make recommendations regarding plan of care for complex/involved patients.

Requirements:

• National Nurse Practitioner Certification, and registered to practice as an NP, with specific RNFA training; or Physician Assistant..
• BCLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification
• Masters Degree in NP or graduate from a PA program
• 2-years mid-level experience in an acute care setting preferred.
