Description

Provides clerical and administrative support for donor services operations. Functions as a Hospital Services Tech if needed.

• Provides clerical and administrative support to IRL and Hospital Services department.
• Provides training in the use of hospital ordering software for consignment hospital staff.
• Reviews Blood Products and Services Issued forms to assure proper accounting of products issued and laboratory services rendered.
• Performs daily reconciliation of billing report.
• Maintains and updates the monthly consignment report.
• Maintains and updates the weekly Blood Usage and Outdate reports.
• Maintains and updates daily Import and Export reports and send to appropriate staff members.
• Assists with the import or export of products as needed.
• Complies with purchasing and expense control procedures.
• Assists with the ordering reagents and supplies for the department.
• Distributes department mail to appropriate staff or facility.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Other duties as assigned to fulfill the organization’s mission and vision.

Qualifications

Education: High School or equivalent experience

Licensure: None

Experience: 4 years laboratory administrative support or other equivalent experience

Light Work - Much of work done while sitting, but with more than normal standing or walking. Occasionally exerting between 20-60 lbs. of force to lift or move objects.
