In collaboration with the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will assist in building business and marketing plans focused on unlocking growth and driving visitation to Sun Valley. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for execution of marketing plans across disciplines (email, social, digital, print, PR, OOH, etc), regular reporting, and must be agile to address changing business needs.
Marketing Manager Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Advertising: Oversee execution of traditional and non-traditional advertising programs for resort product lines. Work closely with the resort’s Brand Manager to develop the necessary content, collateral, and creative materials to support these advertising programs. Update content on the resort’s website and app as needed.
Digital Strategy and Optimization: In collaboration with the resort’s internal CRM team and contracted digital marketing agency, Oversee the build and execution of digital marketing strategies.
Financial Analysis & Business Acumen: Own financial performance and ROI for all marketing initiatives by reviewing performance metrics for campaigns, reporting on these metrics to internal teams, and using this data to make improvements to future marketing efforts. Assist in the management of digital media budget for the Sun Valley Resort marketing team.
Product Marketing: Responsible for analyzing trends and driving growth in product lines mentioned above. Develop and manage execution of annual marketing plans for each product line of business. Work closely with the resort’s Ecommerce Manager to ensure accuracy of product pricing and descriptions, launch new products, and ease customers’ path to purchase.
Team Leadership & Development: Must demonstrate a high-level of emotional intelligence, openness to change, and the willingness to collaborate to bring forward ideal solutions.
Internal & External Partnerships: Lead communication efforts between marketing and internal resort stakeholders with a focus on shared interests, driving results, and identifying ways to continually improve existing channels of communication. Guide and develop partnerships with vendors and advertising agencies to drive the marketing goals of Sun Valley.
Marketing Manager Qualifications
3 years of marketing experience (ski or outdoor industry experience preferred, not required).
1 years experience maintaining and updating content for a professional website. Knowledge of basic HTML preferred.
Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred.
3 years experience managing relationships with agencies and contractors.
1 years experience writing professional marketing content. Experience writing email newsletters, website content, and product descriptions preferred.
Experience with and general knowledge of modern ecommerce platforms preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Track record of developing data-driven campaigns with a focus on driving results.
Experience with marketing databases/campaign management tools (Google Analytics, etc).
Excellent project management skills.
