Capitol Distributing is Hiring a Product Marketing Analyst Near Caldwell, ID

Who we are:
Capitol Distributing is the largest convenience wholesale distributor in Idaho. Founded in 1983, Capitol delivers to retailers across the Western United States from its 300,000 square foot distribution center in Caldwell, Idaho.
Capitol Distributing is seeking a talented Product Marketing Analyst to join our growing team. This position is a key member of the Marketing team who will work closely with our sales and customer experience departments. As the technical expert this role will provide marketing analysis of our various products, projects, and campaigns. This position will report directly to the Marketing Manager.
What you'll do as a Product Marketing Analyst:
  • Work closely with different departments, customers, and vendors in the development of marketing campaigns and strategies for assigned organizational products or product lines.
  • Conduct research meant to identify potential and existing customers, competitors, and markets for company products.
  • Design and draft product-specific data sheets, including a variety of metrics and data to support our sales team and customers.
  • Develop launch plans for new or revised products, create and administer strategies for increasing market share of existing products, and assist in retirement and communication planning for product decommissioning.
  • Provide support in planning sales promotions or other special events, such as conferences and trade shows.
  • Assist the marketing and sales team with print & digital design, website development & maintenance, and other supporting documentation (ex. brochures, posters, presentations, and customer surveys.)
  • Attend and participate in focused customer meetings, outings, and events to establish and maintain key relationships. In addition, support onsite company events.
  • Continuously research and gain knowledge of industry standards, updates, and trends.
  • Other duties as assigned by company leadership.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred
  • 3 years of Marketing experience, preferably in marketing data analysis.
  • Experience working in the field of distribution, retail, or/and merchandising.
  • Experience with product marketing development, writing value propositions and campaign pieces.
  • Experience in supporting a print & design team preferred.
  • The ability to work across functionally, supporting a variety of roles, projects, and initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with technology, specifically with Microsoft Office applications such as excel.
