General Description:

Under limited direction and in compliance with GAAP, recommends and implements accounting procedures and controls and operates accounting, inventory reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivables, cash management, program budgeting and participates along with management in warehouse and equipment maintenance and procurement functions. 

Job Description:

The job will include, but not be limited to:

• Process monthly accounting function through general ledger including preparation of month-end allocation entries.
• Responsible for the Company’s cost accounting functions.
• Prepare monthly comparative financial and budget reports summarizing program expenditures and performance to budget. 
• Recommend revisions and updates to the accounting and general operating procedures. 
• Serve as the primary liaison between Sales and Accounting staff/Accounts Receivables on matters dealing with customers, collections, sales information, financial reporting, and performance details.
• Responsible for maintenance of approved vendor list including annual re-certifications, additions, and deletions.
• Provide timely financial reporting to Sales staff and Management Team.
• Responsible for all treasury functions 
• Prepare TB reconciliation entries prior to preparation of financials.
• Maintain the fixed asset inventory including an annual physical inventory, acquisition and disposal entries, and depreciation schedule. 
• Work with other members of the accounting team to provide for the timely, accurate and secure function of the Accounting Department 
• Prepare and maintain accurate records.
• Document workflow and work procedures.
• Other Duties As assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’ Degree in Accounting or related field

• 5 years experience in corporate accounting 
• Knowledge of ERP and WMS programs and their application in the produce industry is a plus.
• Inventory and Cost accounting experience is required.
• An advanced level of Excel is required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills 
• Ability to carry out responsibilities with flexibility to adapt to changing needs and goals.
• Ability to balance the needs and expectations of multiple constituents.
• Knowledge of payroll and accounting practices and principles.
• Extensive knowledge of auditing practices and principles
• Strong and professional communication skills (written and oral) in English 
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
• Must be able to work productively with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage and complete multiple responsibilities within established timeframes.
