FLSA: Exempt/Non-Union

Reports to: Clinicial Director

Job Summary/Objective:

This position provides oversight and leadership to designated teams to achieve strategic and business goals. Director is responsible for the oversight and management of programming including staffing and care for customers enrolled within the CSM MI program, Community Based Peers program, Mental Health Treatment Court, as well as Summit Pointe’s AOT services and coordinative efforts. Director is responsible for participating in the development of organizational/team goals and monitors progress towards achievement to ensure customer needs are being met within regulatory guidelines. Monitors trends, analyzes service delivery system for the community based programs. Makes recommendations to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction rates. Actively coaches the teams with guidance and support to help achieve strategic and operational goals.

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Coordinates daily operations of community based services.
  • Ensures corporate compliance and consistency with all community based services and procedures to assure quality of service and high standards of professional care.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of procedures, processes, and programs to better achieve goals and to optimize resource allocation criteria.
  • Represents the agency to outside organizations as requested. Maintain record compliance within agency requirements and standards utilizing electronic/hard copy record formats.
  • Ensure compliance and participation with program and performance improvement activities including, but not limited to program development, performance improvement initiatives, team development and education on clinical and agency standards of care.
  • Participate in corporate quality improvement and problem-solving activities for associated teams as well as Summit Pointe as an organization.
  • Establish and maintain community relationships in accordance with agency goals and funded initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy within MDHS, state and federal guidelines.
  • Utilize knowledge of CARF, CMS, MDHS and Managed Care standards.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in the field of behavioral health with licensure in Social Work (LLMSW, LMSW), Psychology (LLP, TLLP), Professional Counseling (LLPC, LPC).
  • Two years’ experience in similar leadership role with primary management focus on the administration of behavioral health services.
  • Two years’ experience working in the applied practice of behavioral health, Care Management preferred.
  • Specialized training, skills and abilities – lived experiences with behavioral health issues are desired.

A trauma-informed approach to service delivery emphasizes physical and emotional safety, choice, empowerment, and trustworthiness for customers. The impact of trauma is broad and touches many life domains. Participation is mandatory for activities required for Summit Pointe to become a “Trauma Informed System of Care.”

Physical Requirements:

  • Professional office environment that generates noise from computer equipment/peripherals.
  • Possible exposure to health risks (violence and infectious diseases).
  • Sometimes lifts, carries, or moves objects up to 25 lbs.
  • May be required to work variable hours/shifts.
