Summit County Educational Service Center is Hiring a 24-25 Math Teacher, Schnee Learning Center Near Cuyahoga Falls, OH

Math Teacher, assigned to Schnee Learning Center
Term: 2024-2025 School year
Qualifications and Possible Job Duties Include:

Must hold valid Ohio license or certificate for 7-12 Mathematics
Strong knowledge of content area in the high school setting
Teaching experience with at-risk student population, or ability to teach at-risk students
Successful completion of pre-employment screenings
Such alternative or additional qualifications as the Board may find appropriate, or acceptable
Develops and administers mathematics curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
Teaches knowledge and skills in mathematics, including concepts such as real and imaginary numbers, formulas, calculations and geometry, and promotes creative thinking and analysis in all related subject areas.
Designs learning activities to demonstrate the application of mathematics to everyday existence and problem-solving.
Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs.
Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
Ensures that student conduct conforms to the school's standards and school district policies, and establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
All other duties as assigned

Salary: Salary schedule placement commensurate with experience and training
