Part-Time Instructional Paraprofessional – Summit Academy Draper Campus

Summit Academy Draper is accepting applications for part-time Instructional Paraprofessionals to begin immediately. This position will be working closely with children in a part-time capacity.

Candidates’ duties include, but are not limited to:

Support general education teachers with instruction and other class work (i.e. making copies, grading, preparing supplies, etc.) Provide in-class supports for students during whole class instruction. Lead small group instruction in reading and math. Supervise students at lunch and recess. Provide occasional whole-class coverage for teachers. Other reasonable duties as assigned within the general education setting.

Preferred Paraprofessional skills and qualifications:

• Must consent to a background check.
• High school or equivalent
• Candidates must meet paraprofessional standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to assist in classroom instruction and learning.
• Great attention to detail.
• Ability to work closely with children.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and patient at all times.
• Knowledge of classroom subjects.

This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn under the direction of a mentor Teacher. Hours/Salary Part- time hours: 18-24 hours per week, Monday- Friday (as needed). Work Hours: varies from 7:50 am- 3:30 pm depending on assignment. Starting Salary: $15.00 per hour.
